Coverage needed of MU Cam in current low state

Active Dates: March 15, 2023 – May 2, 2023

Abstract:

Dr. Aarran Shaw (University of Nevada, Reno) has requested AAVSO observers' assistance in monitoring the intermediate polar cataclysmic variable MU Cam, which is currently in its low state. Intensive observations are requested while MU Cam is in this low state, and for some time after it returns to its high state. The cutoff date for observations will be posted in the forum threads given above. The requested cadence is 3-4 hours a night, ~2-minute exposures. Observations should be in V or CV.

Justification:

If there’s any way to get nightly observations with [this] observing strategy then it would really help us inform follow-up with other observatories, particularly the Chandra X-ray observatory!
