HP Lib being observed with HST
Active Dates: June 21, 2023 – July 5, 2023
Abstract:
Observations of the cataclysmic variable HP Lib have been scheduled with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The monitoring has shown that the system is stable at V~13.5, and any data collected is valuable to verify that the system is safe to be observed with HST. Positive V detection of the target the day before the HST observations is crucial for approval by the HST team.
Justification:
The observations are necessary to confirm that HP Lib remains stable and is safe for observation with the Hubble Space Telescope.
