V1082 Sgr to be observed with HST this week
Active Dates: Aug. 8, 2023 – Aug. 25, 2023
Abstract:
Dr. Anna Francesca Pala (European Space Agency, ESAC, Spain) informs us that observations of the magnetic cataclysmic variable V1082 Sgr have been scheduled with the Hubble Space Telescope for August 11, 2023. Any photometric and spectroscopic data obtained prior to this date will help understand the safety and brightness of the system for observation.
Justification:
V observations from tonight through August 10/11 are critical to determine if the system is safe for HST observations. Spectroscopic data will help model the system and understand its brightness.
Requested Data Types:
Photometry, Spectroscopy
