Photometry requested for Hat-P-23 in exoplanet study
Abstract:
Drs. Bradley Hutson (Arizona State University) and Robert Zellem (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center) request photometry in support of their exoplanet study of Hat-P-23. Dr. Hutson writes: "We have detected variability using TESS data, but it matches up suspiciously with the spacecraft’s momentum dump cadences. So we are trying to determine if the detected variability is caused by the space craft or if it is in fact, variable."
Justification:
AAVSO observations will be valuable in assessing the TESS data on Hat-P-23 and possible variability.

Observers are eligible for co-authorship.
Additional Observer Input:
CCD coverage is requested; DSLR coverage is not requested. No specific cadence - data covering 30 Min or so each night should suffice. OBSERVATIONS SHOULD BE OUTSIDE OF KNOWN PLANETARY TRANSIT TIMES. Known planetary transit times for the Continental US are: 04 Nov 23:14 UT – 05 Nov 01:12UT; 11 Nov 00:47 – 02:46 UT; 16 Nov 01:01- 04:19 UT.
