SSS 100511:061754-362655 observations scheduled with HST

Active Dates: March 9, 2023 – April 7, 2023

Abstract:

Observations of the cataclysmic variable SSS 100511:061754-362655 (Col) have been scheduled with the Hubble Space Telescope from 2023 March 24 03:08:59 to 07:10:10 UT. The star underwent an outburst on February 21st and is now in quiescence at V~18.5. Monitoring and positive V detection are requested for HST observation approval.

Justification:

This target undergoes outbursts on a short recurrence time, making it crucial to capture data points, especially a positive V detection the day before HST observations, to ensure the observations are successful.
